When we rescued four chimpanzees from a roadside zoo in April, an anonymous donor pledged to match every gift until July 31st, with a goal of $350,000. We are thrilled to share that, thanks to your generosity, we surpassed our goal!
We want to express our deepest gratitude for the support you provide to our cherished residents. Through your generous donations, we are able to provide them with nourishing meals, compassionate care, personalized medical attention, the upkeep of their island homes, and stimulating enrichment activities. This enables our residents to enjoy the dignified retirement that they deserve.
It also empowers us to come to the rescue of chimpanzees in need. Thanks to your ongoing support, in the past year, we have welcomed Tonka, Vanilla, Shake, Jeff, Ernesta, Magic, Cayleb, Jacob, Cash, April, Lucy, and Anna. When we rescue chimpanzees, we make a promise to provide care for their lifetime. With a lifespan of 40-60 years, this often means a commitment of four to five decades.
