Join Us for the 8th Annual Chimpathon

There’s no other race like it in the world!

Join us on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at Save the Chimps sanctuary for the 8th Annual Chimpathon 5K/10K! This race will be chip timed with a flat and fast course. Awards will be given to top finishers and all participants will receive a finisher medal, performance shirt & a goody bag filled with items from our sponsors!

About the Chimpathon 5K 10K

The 8th Annual Chimpathon will be taking place on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at Save the Chimps sanctuary

We hope to see you there but if you are unable to make it to the live event, virtual registration is also an option.

Timing & Awards

The Chimpathon will be managed and chip timed by Southern Timing, LLC. All participants will receive live results and an individual finisher page complete with a commemorative finisher certificate, results, pace breakdown & a 20 second clip of you crossing the start and finish line!

Awards will be given to the top 3 male and female finishers in each category:

Age Group

10 & Under, 11-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69 70 & Over

There will be no awards for the virtual race.

Fundraising

Did you know it costs ~$25,000 to care for one chimp each year? That is why every dollar raised counts for the Chimpathon, you can set goals for yourself or for your team! Volunteers

Another fun way to support Chimpathon is to volunteer! Visit the Chimpathon registration page and click the volunteer button on the left menu. Volunteers will receive a Chimpathon shirt.

Virtual Race

Can’t make it to the in-person Chimpathon? Don’t worry! With our virtual race you can show your support from anywhere within the US! All virtual packets will ship Monday, February 27th following the completion of the in-person race. You can track your time using your own device or with the Asics Runkeeper App that we have provided for you. Times are not required to be submitted to receive your swag. There will be no awards for the virtual race.
