About Me
I was born August 28, 1990, at The Coulston Foundation, a research lab in Alamogordo, NM, to my mother Vanessa, and my father Leonard. I was raised by my mother for just over a year, and then I was taken from Vanessa on October 31, 1991. Why I was taken is unknown, to Save the Chimp’s knowledge, I was never assigned to a research study. I languished in a barren cage with other chimps my age for the next decade.
On September 16, 2002, I was rescued by Save the Chimps. Today I live on an island home in Florida with eleven other chimps. I was very unhappy during all those years in a cage, so now I go outside and almost never come indoors, even if it’s raining. I am an active chimp with plenty of energy and a healthy appetite!
