We’re getting closer to our year end goal of raising $25,000 but we still need your help. Please make your gift now so we can reach our goal before midnight tomorrow!
We wish you and your loved ones a healthy and happy New Year.
Good health is a blessing, one that we value above all else for our resident chimpanzees. This past year some of our resident chimpanzees had some terrific health breakthroughs — from weight loss, to necessary dental procedures, to preventive cardiac diagnostics.
Through our portable EKG program, we were able to diagnose two chimpanzees, Clay and Joe, with potential cardiac issues. Having never presented previously with any overt symptoms, this was key in helping us provide them with the best care possible.
We know that appropriate weight can help prevent a variety of health concerns. Whoopie and Tina, both full size ladies, slimmed down this year with the help of our care staff through an exercise challenge that had them doing squats and increasing their activity levels. This kind of innovative, cross department approach is key — and it is the kind of work you make possible with your ongoing support.
By giving now, you’ll help us reach our $25,000 goal, and you’ll help ensure all our residents have every opportunity to live their best life in this very special place.
We are so grateful for all you do!
