On November 8, 2012 Save the Chimps celebrated its 4th Annual Chimps Kitchen fundraiser at the lovely Cobalt Restaurant at the Vero Beach Hotel & Spa. Hundreds of supporters attended to sample delicious hors d’oeuvres generously donated by local chefs, bid on a wide array of auction items and sip on Banana Daiquiris sponsored by Cruzan Rum.
Funds raised from the event will be applied towards the Special Needs Campaign – a secure, enriched, enclosed area suitable for long-term housing of chimpanzees with special needs. The majority of Save the Chimps’ residents are housed on 3-acre islands in large social groups. However, because of individual medical or social needs possibly due to years of testing, an island environment is not suitable for all chimps. We have so many to thank for this wonderful evening… Thank you to Cobalt Restaurant and their wonderful team for hosting our 4th annual event and being a pleasure to work with. |
