Hurricane Milton Update

We’d like to thank everyone for your concern and well wishes. Thanks to the dedicated efforts of our team, the chimps are safe and secure. The ride-out crew has been working around the clock to keep everyone indoors and comfortable, with extra blankets and enrichment to keep them busy. Be sure to keep scrolling to view our photo gallery!

Post-storm evaluations are currently underway to assess any damage to our structures and habitats. While we’re thankful it wasn’t worse, we have some significant cleanup and repairs ahead. Fallen trees, branches, and loss of some power are being addressed to ensure the sanctuary remains a safe haven for our residents. We will continue to provide you with updates as we learn more.

Maintaining our campus is a full-time job, and investing in safety for our staff and chimpanzee residents is all because of supporters like you! Any donations you send today will help us handle repairs, rebuilding and storm prepardness. Setting up a monthly recurring donation, even as much as $5, can help us stay prepared for the future.
