Our course will take you through the world’s largest chimpanzee sanctuary where you will be cheered on by this year’s mascot, Cody, and his chimpanzee friends. This is a unique opportunity to visit Save the Chimps Sanctuary, which is not open to the public.

As you cross the finish line, you’ll receive a distinctive Chimpathon finisher’s medal featuring this year’s mascot, Cody. Each successive year, the finisher’s medal will feature a different one of Save the Chimps’ residents.

2015 CHIMPATHON FINISHERS MEDAL – For the inaugural Chimpathon Finisher’s Medal, we wanted something meaningful and special. The 2-1/2” die-cast medal features a silhouette of Save the Chimp’s founder, Dr. Carole Noon, running in spirit alongside this year’s mascot, Cody. The field of soft green grass, the play structure similar to those found on each of the twelve Islands, the dramatic Florida “fire-sky”, and the sparkling sun reflecting on the clouds are all things we take for granted, but had never been experienced by most of the chimpanzees before they were rescued by Save the Chimps. We want our finishers to look at this medal with pride for their accomplishment and for their contribution to bettering the lives of chimpanzees.
