About Me

I was born at The Coulston Foundation at a time when the lab was entering into extreme financial difficulty. To try and raise money, Coulston sold a number of chimps to the entertainment business. I was purchased by a family on behalf of a Hollywood animal trainer. I lived part-time with the family and part-time with the trainer. After learning more about the use of chimps in entertainment, the family decided it would be in my best interests to be sent to Save the Chimps. In 2004, I arrived at Save the Chimps and was reunited with my mother, Vanna. I am a high-ranking member of Freddy’s family and have many chimp friends and family members to play with! I love exploring my sunny island home and am often found wrapped in blankets or hanging out in the hammocks. I can choose how to spend my days, and that’s what sanctuary life is all about.
