About Me
I was born at The Coulston Foundation (TCF), a biomedical research lab in Alamogordo, NM, on January 27, 1993, to my mother Gertrude and father Cliff. I was taken from my mother and raised in the nursery. I spent the first part of my life in biomedical research until I was rescued by Save the Chimps on September 16, 2002, when they took over TCF.
I am a very social girl. I get along with everyone but I mostly hang with Linda, Chandra, Boy, and Angelica. When integrating Terry into the main group of Bobby’s family, I stepped up and was a huge ally to him since he was a bit unsettled with the change. I spent time playing with him which boosted his confidence and stepped in to defend him when needed. When I felt he had it under control, I stepped back. I never back down from an uneasy situation. One of my closest friend Tina, an elderly chimp, is often the one inside for meals (she loves the island as much as I do!) I make sure to wait for her before I go get my meal and move at her pace. When I know there are leftovers, I will get my caregiver’s attention by standing bipedally and stomping one foot until they come over to me. I use my good looks and sweet personality to try and convince my caregivers to give me some extra juice or food. It is hard to say no to this sweet face.
