About Me
I was born at the Laboratory for Experimental Medicine and Surgery in Primates (LEMSIP) on November 14, 1988. LEMSIP was a lab in New York State that closed its doors in the late 1990’s, sending many of their chimpanzees to the Coulston Foundation (TCF). It’s not clear from my records if I was used in experiments at TCF, but I did receive liver biopsies during my years at LEMSIP. I was among the 266 chimpanzees rescued from the Coulston Foundation, by Save the Chimps in 2002.
I am a beautiful and affectionate chimp. I never had children of my own, but I love baby dolls and will carry them around on my belly as I would my own child. I recently acquired an interest in painting so my paintings are not only beautiful, but also rare.
