About Me
I was born on January 26, 1989, to my parents Samantha and Bubba at The Coulston Foundation (TCF) in Alamogordo, NM. I was taken from my mother and raised in the laboratory nursery. For the first part of my life, I was used in biomedical research.
On September 16, 2002, I was rescued by Save the Chimps when they took over TCF and was brought to Florida where I now reside with Kiley’s family and spend my days exploring my island and relaxing in the sun. I am a quiet chimp who prefers to be outdoors. However, I am not afraid to let my family know when they have upset me, usually meaning someone did not share their lettuce or tomatoes with me. I am easily identified from afar by my distinctive way of walking with my toes curled in.
