About Me

I was born July 7, 1987, to my mother Lisa and my father Richie at the Coulston Foundation, a biomedical research lab in New Mexico. I was among the 266 chimpanzees rescued by Save the Chimps in 2002. I have a large chimpanzee family called Freddy’s family and a twelve-acre island to explore, but I’m content to spend time in my house where I can peacefully nap and enjoy life at a more leisurely pace. But don’t let that quiet demeanor fool you. When I want something, I will make my desire known. I love food and I won’t let anything stand in the way of a good meal. I am not above moving a chimp out of the way if I think it will speed up the meal service. Maybe one day I will be a social butterfly, but for now, I’m content.
