About Me
I was born at Holloman Air Force Base in Alamogordo, NM to my mother Vanessa, and my father Dalton on August 9, 1986. I was able to stay with my mother until I was one year and a half. I was then taken and used in biomedical research. When the Air Force got rid of the chimpanzee research business, I was transferred to The Coulston Foundation (TCF) a biomedical research laboratory in Alamogordo, NM. On September 16, 2002, my life changed forever when I was rescued by Save the Chimps when they took over TCF.
I am now a part of Lou’s Family where I enjoy fresh food and an expansive island to explore along with a large chimp family. I’m a chimps-chimp who would much rather spend time with my chimp family than visit my caregivers. On movie day, my best friend O’Dell and I will be front and center intently watching the feature film. When we want something, we will let our caregivers know by attracting as much attention to ourselves as we can. I like to stick my fingers out through the mesh and flip the locks on the doors, a sound that gets the caregiver’s attention very quickly!
