About Me

I was born in 1972 at the Buckshire Corporation. There are no notes in my file as to who my parents were. The Coulston Foundation purchased me when I was nine years old and entered me into the breeding program. At ten years old, I gave birth to my first daughter, Mika. Mika was taken to the nursery the day she was born. I had several more births. Although with each birth it was noted I was a good mother who would hold and nurse my babies, all except a chimp named Taz were taken away within one to five days of their birth, a traumatic experience for both me and my newborns. 

I was among the 266 chimpanzees rescued by Save the Chimps in 2002 and joined a large chimpanzee family. We moved to the Save the Chimps Sanctuary in Florida where we were released onto a 3-acre island. I enjoy exploring the island, especially when holiday parties are thrown for us. I also enjoy spending time in the overhead tunnels that connect the interior rooms. I am enjoying retirement surrounded by love and happiness.
