On Sunday, May 3rd, Save the Chimps hosted our annual Caregiver Society Day. This was an opportunity to personally say “thank you” to those who have shown extraordinary support of our cause, and to celebrate the lives of our more than 250 chimpanzees rescued from biomedical research, entertainment, and the pet trade.
Our guests enjoyed a VIP tour of the Sanctuary, an elegant luncheon, and a presentation by Nancy Merrick, author of Among Chimpanzees: Field Notes from the Race to Save Our Endangered Relatives. We also dedicated our new Special Needs Play Yards, made possible by the generosity of Laurie and Carlee McGrath and others.
To ALL of our supporters we say “thank you” every day. The lives of our wonderful chimpanzees have been changed beyond imagination because of your belief in our cause.
