Every supporter of Save the Chimps makes a difference in the lives of the chimpanzees rescued from biomedical research, entertainment, and the pet trade. But among them is a select group of donors whose impact on the lives of the chimps goes far beyond the ordinary.
Save the Chimps established the Caregiver Society to recognize our most generous patrons, whose compassion has been vital to our efforts to provide the highest quality care possible to the chimpanzees.

Generously underwritten by Caregiver Society member Barbara Birdsey, members enjoyed a VIP tour of the Sanctuary, lunch and cocktails overlooking Air Force Island, and a special presentation by Sanctuary Director Jen Feuerstein. They also had the opportunity to meet many of our wonderful chimpanzees residents, fellow Caregiver Society members, Save the Chimps’ Board of Directors and staff.
