With the changes in The Dungeon in New Mexico, as well as the dramatic change in the care the chimps receive, including patient and loving caregivers, fresh fruits and veggies at every meal, toys to play with, blankets to nest with, and enrichment to occupy their time, the chimps are probably thinking that they have it pretty good. With the exception of the chimps born in Africa, the chimps have never known a better life. They've never looked upon a world without bars, never walked upon grass, never ran at full speed for more than a few feet. Soon, all of that is going to change. Construction of 11 new islands and 11 new buildings is complete in Florida. The chimps will know new freedoms that most never could have dreamed of.
