Relocating one chimpanzee from New Mexico to permanent sanctuary in Florida costs $2,500, and includes the expense of caregiver staff on both ends of the trip, veterinary care, transport vehicle maintenance, fuel costs, and the work of bringing a new building on-line in Florida.

The custom-built Save the Chimps trailer is going to make more than 26 four-thousand mile round trips between New Mexico and Florida (that's equivalent to driving around the Earth four times), carrying 10 chimpanzees, each with their own window to watch their journey across the United States!

You can sponsor a chimp's trip to Florida by making a personal donation, giving the donation in a friend or family member's name, or organizing a fundraiser at your school, business or community organization. We will provide brochures, newsletters and temporary tattoos for fundraising purposes upon request. Contact Save the Chimps for more information.

Please help us give chimpanzees their happy endings. Make the "dream come true" become a reality for them. We can't erase their horrific pasts, but we are proud to turn their presents and futures into gloriously joyful "happily ever afters".

There are different levels of sponsorship ranging from a simple donation to help sponsor one of the chimp's trips to Florida, to sponsoring an entire trip for the chimpanzee of your choice.

Another family of chimpanzees are moving to Florida! Please choose a chimp who has not yet been sponsored and be a part of their journey from living alone in a laboratory to living on an island with a family in sunny Florida!

$25 will sponsor 20 miles of a trip for the chimpanzee of your choice!

$50 will sponsor 40 miles of a trip for the chimpanzee of your choice!

$100 will sponsor 80 miles of a trip for the chimpanzee of your choice!

$250 will sponsor 200 miles of a trip for the chimpanzee of your choice!

$500 will sponsor 400 miles of a trip for the chimpanzee of your choice!

$1,250 will bring the chimpanzee of your choice 1,000 miles of the trip from New Mexico to their new island home in Florida!

$2,500 will bring the chimpanzee of your choice from New Mexico to their new island home in Florida!

$5,000 or More. These very special donors will receive the title of "Honorary Driver." No, you can't really drive the truck, but your name will be placed on a special plaque at our Florida sanctuary once all of the chimps have reached their new homes!
