About Me

I was born June 10, 1999 to parents Alison and Marc and was fortunate to only spend three years in a laboratory before Save the Chimps rescued me in 2002. Today, I am a member of Seve’s family. I’m very particular about my food. I don’t like bananas that have any spots on them and I’m suspicious of new people feeding me—especially bananas. It takes me a couple days to accept bananas from new trainees as I prefer being fed by people who I know. I’m extremely sweet and playful with my caregivers and will demand to see their shoes each morning and every time they get new boots. I’m especially obsessed with boots and caregivers will retire their old boots to me and I will carry them around on my back. I can often be found strolling the island, grooming with Chelsea, or sitting in a kiddie pool – and in sanctuary life, how I spend my days is up to me.
