Thank you to everyone who participated in our second annual Chimps Kitchen event on November 3rd at Cobalt at the Vero Beach Hotel and Spa. Together, 150 supporters raised over $20,000 for Save the Chimps at an elegant and fun-filled evening!!!
The event, chaired by Laura Guttridge, featured delicious hors d’oeuvres created by local celebrity chefs; a Silent Auction chaired by Barbara Sharp; and live percussion & other worldly beats by Key of Life Music.
Lani Deauville, co-founder of Greens+ , spoke eloquently about her relationship with our founder, Dr. Carole Noon, and how and why she got involved with supporting the Sanctuary. Today, Greens+ is one of our major corporate partners. Like humans, our chimps love their energy and protein bars!
We also debuted our new 8-minute video, narrated by Angelica Houston, acclaimed actress and Save the Chimps Advisory Board member. This film is a very compelling portrait of our past, present and future.
